学校共同合伙人、高级课程顾问，作曲家，长号演奏家孙老师，1999年获得中国大陆第三位计算机交互式作曲专业的硕士学位。
1999年起在北京任国家双一流、211重点大学——中国传媒大学任教理论作曲、计算机交互式作曲等课程。2001年经国家教委、北京市教委和广电总局批准，正式创建 “电子音乐制作” 本科专业并在同年开始面向全国招生，同时创建了中国传媒大学电子音乐实验中心并担任主任，至今已有多届学生毕业。
多年来历任中国传媒大学电子音乐实验中心主任、中央音乐学院现代电子音乐中心客座教师、中国音乐家协会电子音乐学会高级理事、历届亚洲规模最大的“北京国际电子音乐节”及“中国电子音乐作曲大赛”评委、组织者；中国广播电视技术协会会员，加拿大SOCAN作曲家、剧作家与出版商协会、加拿大CEC电子音乐联合会会员、BC省BCRMTA音乐教师协会会员，美国AP Music考试委员会评审……其作品多次在国内首演，多次参与各类国际研讨会与校际交流……
孙老师具有30多年专业音乐学习经验，近20年的专业教学经验，国内已有多届的专业学生毕业，他们之中的很多人继续深造之后获得音乐专业的硕士、博士后留校任教；或是分布在国内各地以及欧美澳等地区从事专业音乐工作；或是在中国境内外各广播电视新闻机构如CCTV、中国国际广播电台、新华社、香港凤凰卫视、澳门澳亚卫视以及各传媒机构驻台湾、新加坡、新西兰、瑞士等地工作。
除了多年的教学经验之外，孙老师还有多年的舞台演出经验，过去的数年中曾走遍了整个中国的绝大多数省市自治区，和当今著名的艺术家如彭丽媛、张也、赵本山等人有过数次的合作，并为湖北、湖南、北京、甘肃、山西、福建、江浙等各省市电台电视台、各地歌剧舞剧院团签约制作了多首作品。
孙老师同时也是RCM Examinations注册教师，精通RCM钢琴及铜管乐器演奏考级体系、尤其是作曲技术理论方面各级考试的要求，精通包含RCM全部级别的乐理(Rudiments)、和声(Harmony)、对位(Counterpoint)、音乐分析(Music Analysis)、以及美国与世界各高校认可的AP Music Theory，英皇ABRSM等各项考试的要求、评分标准等等。
与此同时还教授程度要求更高的专业作曲课程，例如管弦乐队配器(Orchestration)、电子音乐制作(Electronic-Acoustic Music)…… 给这里的学生带来全新的、国内音乐院校专业级教学的体验，这种实力在大温地区的众多私立艺术学校中，独一无二。

Prof. SUN started his professional teaching career at Mass Communication University of China (CUC), which is 211 schools (100 Key Universities in the 21st century of China) and former named Beijing Broadcasting Institute (BBC) in 1999. He established the major in "Electronic-acoustic" and approved by the Ministry of National Education of China, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, State Administration of Radio Film and Television in 2001. and began received qualified undergraduate students in the same year.
Over the years, he served as director of the Electronic-acoustic Music Center of CUC, Professor of Modern Electronic-acoustic Music Center of Central Conservatory of Music (CCM), the best conservatory of China. He is the Senior Council of Electroacoustic Music Association of China (EMAC,2001), Co-founder and judge of Asia's largest “Beijing International Electronic-acoustic Music Festival” and “China Electronic-acoustic Music Competition”. His works have been premiere in different countries and have participated in international conferences and seminars.
He is also the member of Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN, 2007), BC Music Teachers Association (BCRMTA, 2007), Audit of AP Music Theory (2009), and the member of and member of China Radio, Film and TV Technology Society (CSMPTE, 2001).
Professor Sun has more than 30 years of professional music learning and nearly 20 years of professional teaching experience. His most graduates continue to master's degree and higher, even to post-doctoral; or work at television and broadcasting stations around the country such as China Central Television (CCTV), China Radio International (CRI), Phoenix Television (Hong Kong), Macau Asia Satellite Television (Macau), Xinhua News Agency, etc. They also work at different media organizations such as BBC, NBC, Google, Microsoft in Asia, North American and Europe.
In addition to years of teaching experience, Professor Sun has many years of stage performance experience with famous artists such as Peng Liyuan (Chairmen Xi’s wife). Many radio and television cooperation in different provinces and cities.
Professor Sun is a registered teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and responsible for RCM teaching and exam research in BC, Canada.
The current research interests are computer interactive composition, Soundscape composition around Great Vancouver areas as well as the western region of Canada historic sound collection and compilation.
